Project Portfolio

Every single perennial, grass and fern we plant is grown in the UK using peat free compost and with low intervention methods.

The wonderful thing about this way of planting is we have renewal each growing season - unlike the traditional shrub dominant gardens. Fresh foliage and flowers bloom until they reach mature size then (if you have space) it is time to divide and share.

Accentual shrubs and trees can’t always be sourced peat free, although many nurseries field grow and are using peat free compost. Our commitment is that when the plants are in the ground, they are cared for organically.

We don’t recommend feeding any plants that live in the ground (yes, even ferns!). It is all about soil health and creating a healthy microbiome in the garden.

Restoration works are often required pre-planting - pruning, shaping, clearing and dealing with overly vigorous plants are all part of the preparation. Already established gardens can take longer to ‘refurbish’ with new planting styles.

Our aim is create Pinterest worthy beds, borders and swathes of land - soil health and biodiversity is at the heart of our work

Feed the soil - not the plants
